PRIVACY & SAFETY
Designed to support youth without turning the Hub into open social media.
The platform separates public community participation from private recovery tools and gives NeXt Chapter Recovery staff moderation and support controls.
What stays private
Account email is not shown in the Youth Circle.
Private journal entries do not appear in community posts.
Coping-plan content is kept in the signed-in personal area.
Support requests go to the staff queue, not other youth.
Saved resources are private to the member account.
Community safeguards
Public nicknames instead of email addresses.
Optional pre-moderation of posts and replies.
Reporting and moderator review workflow.
Posting/reply rate limits and contact-information screening.
No unrestricted youth-to-youth private direct messaging.
Healthy engagement design
Short games with natural endings.
No purchases, wagering, loot boxes, or gambling mechanics.
Capped Growth XP to reduce repetitive point farming.
No public recovery leaderboard.
Challenges point youth back toward real-world activity.
Google Analytics & advertising
Third-party Google Analytics is limited to selected logged-out public pages and waits for a visitor choice before loading.
The built-in integration does not send Youth Hub account IDs, journal text, coping-plan content, support-request content, or community-post text to Google.
AdSense is off by default and is technically limited to selected logged-out public pages—never dashboards, games, private recovery tools, profiles, support requests, or Youth Circle participation.
When the optional ad integration is enabled, the Hub requests non-personalized ads; administrators remain responsible for Google publisher policies, age-treatment settings, and any required consent-management platform.
Staff responsibility
Technology does not replace a safeguarding policy. Before real youth use, NeXt Chapter Recovery should establish staff access rules, moderation coverage, incident escalation, data retention/deletion procedures, privacy notices, consent processes where required, and verified local support information.
